Floriade educational program
To truly live sustainably requires a broad and deep awareness with inquiry, learning to experience, doing and reflection. This creates empowerment, feeling equipped to act sustainably. These processes take place in the local community, associations and organizations but especially in schools where students work purposefully on developing this attitude. Experimenting, exploring, feeling, tasting, being taught, making mistakes, targeted evaluation, doing better and seizing opportunities. And such a beautiful, exceptional opportunity was right at the door, the FloriadeExpo.
Together with teachers, 'Learning for Sustainable Development' based on the UNESCO principles became the core of the Floriade Educational Program (EPF). As a result, many teachers and students were introduced to this transition-oriented didactic approach and to all that this Floriade had to offer. Programs for a day, an app but also eight programs that can be linked to subjects or used across subjects.
This good practice finished in 2nd place at the symposium ' VO for Tomorrow' for the good practices of the SustainaBul VO 2022!
