Who we are
Institute Archimedes provides HBO professional education for teachers of secondary education, preparatory and intermediate vocational education and adult education in the Utrecht region at bachelor and master level. Instituut Archimedes specializes in blended learning, a mix of contract education, workplace learning and a digital learning environment. In this we work closely with the professional field. Since 2022, sustainability is one of our spearheads, alongside digital literacy and equity.
What we do
Hogeschool Utrecht supervises both starters and professionals. We offer a coherent range of bachelors, masters and courses, which we continue to renew together with the professional field. In this way we provide good education that matches what the professional field requires of their professionals.
Second-degree teacher training programs are aimed at teaching in vocational education (practical education, vmbo, mbo and adult education) and undergraduate havo and vwo.
With high-quality education and research, Utrecht University of Applied Sciences works on innovation and professionalization of professional practice and the development of talent. This is how we contribute to the social, cultural, ecological and economic development of an open, just and sustainable society.
