The government is asking construction and installation companies to become increasingly circular. What does that mean? There are seven trends that are important in circular working:
The result of this project is a inspiration document in which we explain these trends and offer you inspiration for various practical assignments that tie in with them. You can do these practical assignments with your students. We have focused on those assignments that in our opinion are best suited for practical use in the classroom.
In addition, a Circular Skills curriculum has been developed. Circular Skills is a teaching method that helps VMBO students develop sustainable and circular skills. The program focuses on teaching circular thinking, design thinking and general sustainability principles. It teaches students to look critically at all aspects of the production chain and makes them aware of the impact of their actions on the environment and society.
The program consists of lessons at school accompanied by practical challenges. During the lessons, various topics are addressed such as the impact of industry on the environment, on the living and working conditions of workers in low-wage countries, the role of the consumer and the role of the producer. More information can be found here!
