In the network of Learning for Tomorrow, more and more people who are working on sustainable operations at a school are joining us. The question of how to use your school building sustainably is often asked. That's why we organize this networking meeting with our members, where we will make you look with different eyes at the meaning of already existing buildings and furnishings and how to preserve their value.
Program
Are you looking for inspiration for sustainable building and interior design? And are you working at a school as a facilities officer/manager or working in operations and concerned with sustainability? Sign up for this meeting!
Discover the possibilities and beauty of reusing the existing - it's not inferior to new. And it doesn't have to cost more! With smart interventions, you can already transform a school. To empower students, teachers and the environment.
We are guests at Nimeto in Utrecht, a fine example of a sustainable building. Chairman of the Board of Governors Henk Vermeulen, our host, welcomes us and shows us how this location has been renovated in a sustainable way with attention. After a brief introduction on sustainable education, André Veldhuizen of Eromesmarko and Wilma Kempinga of the Mevrouw Meijer foundation take us through the possibilities of sustainable furnishing and sustainable renovation respectively. The R-ladder, circularity, reuse of materials, innovative working with your school and open educational space are all discussed.
We will conclude this networking meeting with a shared lunch - which, weather permitting, we can enjoy in the beautiful courtyard garden.
We hope to see you on April 19! Want a preview of what to expect at Nimeto? Check out this video.
