Sustainability Skills Meet Up

Duurzame Skills

About the Sustainability Skills Meet Up
How can we equip (future) workers with the skills, knowledge and attitudes they need to thrive in a sustainable and inclusive society? On March 8 (afternoon), in collaboration with Katapult, we are hosting another Sustainability Skills Meet Up!

Here, professionals from education, business, research institutions and governments meet to see how we can move forward in sustainable transition issues by learning together. In doing so, we put the pRELATED and use the transition curve (X-curve) for interpreting it. Together we look at elements that play a role for system change.

This Meet Up also ties in with the "climate transition expedition".

Program

Kick-off Expedition Climate Transition with lunch session by Carien van der Have
Transition in thinking and doing - tools for sustainable ambitions
Together with Carien, consultant and researcher specializing in circular economy, chain cooperation and new business models at DRIFT, we will search for new and shared insights that will serve as a starting point for our expedition. In addition to all the cool content, the binding factor between all transition themes is the processes involved in transition. Zooming out for a moment, then, during the expedition to dive into the content on March 21-22. If you have questions or topics for Carien now, let it be known

Interactive opening
In an interactive format, you'll find out who else is there and we'll start the meeting together.

Getting to know the field projects
Several (pilot) real-world projects briefly introduce themselves to you. For example, they tell you why they are working on this project and how work is being done. They also share successes and learning experiences. Finally, they share a bottleneck or challenge they would like to discuss.

Practice tables: getting started!
You can join one or more practice tables. You will work with theproject leaders of the projects you were introduced to before the break. In an interactive work format, you will dive into the practice and together looking for the elements needed for systemic change.

Clarification of transition elements
For each practice table, a short plenary feedback is given on the results. Carien van der Have helps interpret the results in light of the transition. Together we plot the projects on the X-curve of transition.

Closing and drinks
We'll wrap up the Meet Up together. We will also share more information about Meet Ups planned for the rest of the year and you can join our joint LinkedIn group. Of course, we will end the day with a nice drink.
