Fleur Cerini, general director of the Bossche Vakschool tells, among other things, about the creation of the educational vision and how the school is set up based on the principle "the right place for smart hands. The Bossche Vakschool offers a lot of practice and practical assignments for vmbo-basis and vmbo-kader. A vision for the new school was developed with staff, stakeholders and students. It had to be a warm, playful and open building where everyone feels at home. In the Program of Requirements, visibility and connection, also with the outside world, were important themes. Not only between the various departments, but also with Yuverta, the adjacent 'green' vmbo school, with the neighborhood and the business community.
During this event, we want to take you through the various issues we faced, such as maintaining small scale, engaging our valuable workforce, and the crucial decisions around renovation versus new construction. We want to share with you how we build not only for tomorrow, but also for the decades to come, and how we deal with important themes such as health and circularity. You will also have the opportunity to tour the new school building and experience how we put meaningful education and sustainability into practice.
