On September 15, Teachers for Climate, Fridays for Future, XR Education and Scientist Rebellion are organizing a substantive climate manifestation in The Hague. The manifestation coincides with the Global Climate Strike and will take place on Malieveld. The activity is organized for teachers and their students.
On the occasion of the event, Dutch authors collected excerpts about "climate, activism and our future. They will be present live at the manifestation, reading from their own work and engaging visitors in conversation about the themes in their work. Afterwards, they will continue their activities under the name Writers for the Future. 'We believe that stories play a crucial role in creating a sustainable future. That is why we want to actively connect caring for life on our planet with literature.'

Teaching Materials
Teachers for Climate also developed a lesson plan Climate & Activism for VO. This can be used by teachers to respond to current events surrounding this topic. It addresses questions such as: How do you talk about these topics in class? How do you objectively teach about a loaded topic that you yourself may have an opinion on? What are the backgrounds of current climate actions? As a student, how do you yourself think about the climate crisis and the role of the fossil industry? What things do you yourself get angry about? And how do you stand up for yourself?
