As a human being, I am always looking for new challenges and ways to improve the world. My name is Annemarie Bergsma and I am not only a lecturer in nursing at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, but also the passionate president of The Sustainable Nurse. Our national action network is committed to integrating Planetary Health and sustainability into the regular curricula and continuing education of nurses. I am tremendously passionate about sustainable education, and I strongly believe in the relationship between the health of our planet and the health of current and future generations. The concerns this relationship brings to me drive me every day to do all we can through education to reduce this impact and provide awareness.
With full confidence, I believe that as a collective we can contribute to a more sustainable future for future generations. I am excited to contribute to this as a member of the Supervisory Board of our Cooperative. Every day I feel inspired by all the members of this cooperative, who take our mission forward with their passion. Moreover, I seek inspiration in poems that evoke emotions and surprising stories that I can discover in silence, art and nature.
