Circular Council
Huizermaat has established a Circular Pupil Council to get students involved in the sustainable choices in the school. "The difference with a regular student council is that we have climate as our focus point and want to make our fellow students aware of the challenges in that area. Therefore, we organize activities around this theme."

Things undertaken in this context include, for example: a visit by Tijmen the Trashpacker, a collaboration with Rotary Huizen Gooimeer in the End Plastic Soup campaign, participation in a sustainability debate in the Week of Circularity and getting to work on the UN's seventeen Sustainable Development Goals in project week.

The Circular Student Council was named the winner of the Good Practices SustainaBul VO at the VO for Tomorrow symposium!
