All mbo graduates work with pleasure and expertise on a sustainable and social society. So what does education look like and how do we get there? Come for inspiration, meeting, exchange and link to the Symposium Duurzaam Denken & Doen on sustainability in MBO with presentation of the SustainaBul MBO 2023.

This year the symposium will take place at the Koning Willem I College in Den Bosch. Below you can find the entire program. In any case, it will be a day where everyone involved and/or wanting to be involved with sustainability in the mbo meets, learns from each other and celebrates successes together.

How does Koning Willem I College go about sustainability? And how does that translate into different disciplines? Workshops are organized at two locations. As a participant you choose one location on the registration form. There you follow two workshops that you choose on the spot. Check out the workshops here! |

12:00 Walking lunch in the Mensa |
|
The catering school will host a walking lunch. Participants can walk through the practical areas with food and drinks and the students will tell the story of Dutch Cuisine. Using the beautiful products from Dutch soil, they prepare surprising, delicious dishes that are also good for the environment. This means they buy locally, take into account what is available in each season and cook using the 80/20 principle. Vegetables have the main role (80%) and a sustainable piece of meat or fish is an afterthought (20%). This way the dishes are less harmful to the environment and the consumer can enjoy a delicious and healthy meal without any worries. With the walking lunch they let you experience how they educate sustainably in a sustainable environment and enjoy all the delicious lunch dishes. |

SustainaBul MBO 2023
SustainaBul MBO is a network of schools trying to achieve further sustainability in MBO education. They do this through knowledge sharing and collaboration in various meetings. The SustainaBul is based on the Whole School Approach to sustainable development and the peer consultation therefore takes place around the themes of education, practice, operations and their integral approach. Participants also complete a questionnaire on sustainability within the school. These questions provide a clear framework for a sustainable school and help in drafting and monitoring sustainability policies. This also allows them to participate in the ranking and awarding! Because all roles are important in the transition, we are working with three categories this year: Kickstarters, Accelerators and Leaders.
