Seminar: Circular school design and biobased materials for a healthy learning environment

FF-nu

In cooperation with Peter Eisenburger of 'groene-morgen.nl', the Meshallen in Wijchen and Duurzaam Gebouwd, Stedebouw & Architectuur organizes the Seminar: Circular school design and biobased materials for a healthy learning environment. This seminar is part of the roadmap to the Sustainable & Healthy Schools Congress 2022 on November 9.

Hundreds of new schools will be built in the Netherlands in the coming years, as evidenced by the Integral Housing Plans (IHP's) that have already been published. There are many opportunities to keep these educational buildings qualitative and healthy, and to contribute to CO2 reduction and a healthy environment, by circular and biobased design and construction.

By using biophilic materials and integrating plants in the building as much as possible, teachers and students experience a more pleasant environment and by integrating installations in the design, you create a smart and flexible building that meets the needs of the user. All these efforts can also be linked to relevant SDGs to demonstrate the connection with social issues.

At this seminar you will learn more about the possibilities of realizing fresh and healthy educational buildings through a circular approach, linked to social issues such as climate and health. Various examples of materials and design types will be discussed. There is also ample opportunity to discuss these topics with each other during a Q&A session.
