Networking meeting in which we discover together how to more deeply integrate the Homo Florens view of man into economics education.
At the networking meeting, we ask the question: How do we look at prosperity and well-being from different economic human views?
An important question, according to, among others, these thesis On humanity and burnout. German sociologist Hartmut Rosa states, "Prosperity is increasing, but humans are alienating and losing themselves in a spiral of acceleration and compulsive growth. We become alienated from nature and from each other". How does integrating the Homo Florens view of man into our education help in this problem?
Program
The interactive networking meeting has the following components:
- Addressing the Homo Florens in ourselves and students - by Annet Schaap and Barbara Blokpoel (HvA)
Annet is team leader of the Broad Economic Direction and has been researching Earth-based & Art-based education under the title Rewilding Education. Education that appeals to the creative, experiential right brain in addition to the cognitive left brain. She provides us with didactics.

Academic partner Steven introduces us to the ideas of Hartmut Rosa. Resonance refers to a deep and meaningful connection to the world around us, to other people and to ourselves. - Setting up learning network
Brainstorm to arrive at an appropriate structure to (continue to) learn from each other within - and between - all HEO training domains. - Introduction research
Brief introduction to Siem Jans and Steef van Lokven of Bureau WILTgroei. They will spend the next six months researching hindering and stimulating context variables for the introduction of the Homo Florens philosophy within the Business Administration and Finance & Control programs.
