Children celebrate the small big - Sunday, May 21, 2023
On Sunday, May 21 - a day before the International Day of Biodiversity - author Kees Klomp organizes the mini-festival "The Power of Small", a special and exclusive biodiversity celebration for 600 children, (grand)parents and teachers at Kinepolis Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. The mini-festival allows everyone to see and feel the power of small steps. It encourages them to take a step themselves. Kees Klomp will read to the entire audience from his new book 'De Regenmaker', after which the film Onder het Maaiveld Junior will be shown. An afternoon full of inspiration to get started with the theme yourself in a fun way, for example by reading, drawing, photographing or filming. And of course to talk to the makers of the film and the booklet. Both the film and the booklet were created in collaboration with children. Their illustrations can also be seen in a mini-exhibition at Kinepolis. All children present will receive a free entrance ticket to the garden inspiration park De Tuinen van Appeltern. Get tickets for the mini-festival here.

Learning package and #reading for Change - after May 21, 2023
Change is often about great and despair. That makes it difficult to discuss. Now what if you make the big change very small, bring it close and make it personal? Then you can make it your own and even take a step. That is why author Kees Klomp wrote a story about Olla, a big story about a little bird in a little book for big change (selflessly published by Postcast Publishers). Children, (grand)parents and teachers are encouraged to read aloud for change. Schools can get free copies of the booklet (the ambition is to provide some 6,600 primary schools with copies) and a free online teaching package is available. Read it and pass it on and use the motto #to read for change For more information about the teaching package and working together, please email Dennis van Aalst at postcast@causatives.com
